Tom Karpik has an excellent write-up on this. I got bitten by it on day one of using Leopard (indeed, it cropped up in a discussion I had with David Chartier that day about Airport stability). Kudos to Tom for taking the time to write it up properly with screenshots, and for getting himself Dugg. Chances of Apple rushing out a fix seem quite high, now.
