DTerm: A command line anywhere and everywhere
A neat Quicksilver-esqe utility by Ben Rister. Check out their video for quick, lucid explaination of how it works:
No matter what application you’re in, no matter what document you’re working with, just hit DTerm’s hotkey and it’ll be there for you, already set to the working directory of your current document. When you’re done, hit escape or just go on about your work, and it’ll automatically fade out, leaving your screen clutter-free.
I’ve downloaded DTerm to play with, and it seems awesome. As the sort of UNIX junkie who keeps Terminal.app in his dock (and usually running with several windows open), having both this and Spotlight available at the touch of a button is more powerful to me than Quicksilver ever was. Be sure to watch the video—the context-dependent stuff is really very cool.
