That’s the big problem with the App Store: it’s so far outside of Apple’s comfort zone that it’s gone amateur-hour. It’s been successful despite this, but definitely not because of this. But, just as any web designer who’s been asked to “make it work like that site” knows, convincing the powers that be that the flaws aren’t actually what made the thing successful is really very difficult.
