Tumbled Logic

No answers, only questions

How many local newspaper outfits owned by Guardian Media Group went into administration recently?

How many of those were actually dying, as opposed to “not profitable enough to sustain GMG’s subsidy of the Guardian and the Observer”?

How many Guardian and Observer employees have penned articles about the death of local media?

Why, more to the point, did said employees not see fit to mention how many of the dead local rags were cut loose by their employer in order to keep their national organ afloat?

Which is worse: the death of two national titles, or a cavalcade of locals?

(Hat tip to this week’s Private Eye; corrections welcome; this is not a VAT receipt).
